The Avid editing platform has long been a part of the curriculum within the Film Degree Program, and this latest expansion brings the combined number of Avid workstations on Full Sail's campus to twenty-eight.The Avid|DS HD systems complement Full Sail's current array of Avids by allowing Full Sail Film students to utilize real-time conforming and finishing for both uncompressed HD (high definition) and SD (standard definition) projects. Full Sail students can seamlessly integrate picture and audio editing, compositing, paint, animation, character generation, and media management tools to create polished and professional projects as a part of the Full Sail curriculum."It's an extremely powerful finishing and mastering system," says Dave Franko, Program Director for the Film Degree.
